Food waste depackager is a good options on separating the food waste, organic waste, or source separated organics(SSO) from the heterogeneous feedstock, this separation process has one input, the heterogeneous feedstock, and two outputs, the extract (the recovered material, e.g. food scraps, organics) and the reject (e.g. waste packaging). The separated food/ogranics are taken as the raw material to do composting, or convert to the biogas by wet anaerobic digestion.

Food Waste Depackaging Machine:

TIMO’s integrated industrial shredder and depacker FDS series machine is a good assistant on separating the food/organic/kitchen waste from the municipal solid waste(MSW) which container various solid waste, such as plastic, paper, fabric, etc. MSW are usually throw away directly to the landfill. But actually, the food/organic waste inside can be take as the raw material to do composting, or convert to the biogas by anaerobic digestion. Our industrial shredder and grinder separator can separate the food/organic waste and other solid waste automatically with the high efficiency and high capacity.

Working principle: FDS series machine is the machine that integrated industrial shredder on top with depacker on bottom. Feed the MSW into the hopper of the FDS machine–>2. The industrial shredder on the top of the FDS macine will shred the MSW down to size first, about 55*12mm–>3. The shredded MSW will fall off to the depacker by gravity which underneath the shredder, the depacker will grind and mixed the shredded MSW by a high speed rotating shaft, the solid waste cannot pass through the round screen, so they will stay inside the screen and discharged along with the rotating shaft by the centrifugal force , at the same time, the screw blade grind the food/organic waste against the screen continuously, and the food/orgnaic waste will become small flakes/slurry under the high speed shredding and pass through the srceen. Finally, the food/organic waste and solid waste are separated.  The picture below to show you the result before and after processing.

FDS series integrated industrial shredder and depacker machine is also a good assistant on separating the packing material such as plastic bag, plastic bottle, paper, cardboard, tin cans from the food waste that come from super market, such as mixed grocery waste, coffee pods, bakery waste, cases of peanut butter, canned vegetables, beer in aluminum bottle, water in bottles, bowls of sweet potato, bowls of mashed potatoes, bulk bags of semi cooked potatoes, retail bags of diced potatoes, bread food waste, etc. 90-99% clean organic/food waste can be separated. TIMO’s integrated industrial shredder and dewatering squeezer HM series machine is a good assistant on unpacking the expired foodstuff which have drink  inside and packing with plastic, paper, aluminium film, such as packaging beverage, soft drink, bottled water, milk drink. Packing food whose“best-by” date has passed are usually throw away directly as the rubbish. But actually, the packaging material such as plastic packing, aluminium cans, paper can be recycled. Our industrial shredder and dewatering squeezer can destroy the packaging and separate the packaging material and drink inside automatically, with the high efficiency and reliable machine operating, you can save a lot of time and the cost of labor to manual operation. 

Working principle:  HM series machine is the machine that integrated industrial shredder on top with dewatering squeezer on bottom. The industrial shredder on the top of the combo machine will cut the packing food waste down to size first, about 46*12mm, after shredding, the packing food waste will great helpful for the dewatering squeezer to separate the solid packing and liquid. After shredding, the shredded food waste will fall off to the dewatering squeezer which underneath the shredder by gravity, the squeezing shaft will push the shredded food waste against the stainless steel screen and back-pressure cone, the cone will not release until the pressure reach the setting point, the packaging material cannot pass through the small screen but the liquid form food waste can, so the liquid food waste will be squeezed out from the screen and flow into the trough under the screen, there is the 100mm hole in the middle of trough, you can connect a pipe and put a container under there to collect the liquid directly or connect a pump to pump the liquid to a container for storage, at the same time, the solid packing material will be discharged from the gap between the cone and the squeezer shell.  Here is the video link to show how the dewatering squeezer works: http://shredding-machine.com/index.php/product/dewatering-screw-press/. The project below located in Shenzhen city can make you know more the advantage of our machine.
